The nominees for the Premier League's Player and Manager of the Month awards for September have been revealed.

Eight stars have been nominated for their performances on the pitch throughout the month, with a combination of a panel of experts and a fan vote set to decide the winner.

It's also been a positive four weeks or so for a number of managers, with a handful of unbeaten bosses included on the shortlist.

  • Harvey Barnes (Newcastle)
  • Luis Diaz (Liverpool)
  • Gabriel Magalhaes (Arsenal)
  • Ryan Gravenberch (Liverpool)
  • Raul Jimenez (Fulham)
  • Dwight McNeil (Everton)
  • Cole Palmer (Chelsea)
  • Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa)

Having been lost in the wilderness at Newcastle United for a while, Harvey Barnes has returned to form during the early months of 2024/25. He struck three times throughout September, scoring against Tottenham Hotspur, Wolves and Fulham.

Luis Diaz will be one of the favourites to claim the monthly silverware. The Colombian has discovered a clinical streak of late, scoring four times including a first-half brace in the 3-0 drubbing of Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Reds teammate Ryan Gravenberch, who has nailed down a starting spot under Arne Slot, is also on the shortlist. The Dutchman contributed a league-high 231 passes among midfielders and won possession back on 29 separate occasions.

Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes helped his side go unbeaten throughout September and his goal threat from set-pieces was a massive factor in the Gunners' win at Tottenham and draw with Manchester City.

Raul Jimenez and Fulham also didn't taste defeat during the month, with the Mexican's three goals of great importance. He also became only the second player from his country to reach 50 Premier League goals.

Any hopes Everton had of picking up points in September seemed to fall at Dwight McNeil's feet. The former Burnley winger showed up at times of great importance, inspiring a much-needed 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace with a brace.

Chelsea were another unbeaten team, with Cole Palmer the major creative force for the Blues. The England international ended September with four goals against Brighton & Hove Albion but had previously bagged at West Ham United and assisted against Palace.

Rounding off the nominees is Aston Villa'sOllie Watkins The 28-year-old scored his first four league goals of the season and set up another two, helping Unai Emery's side to two wins and a draw.
