Real Madrid stars Kylian Mbappe, Thibaut Courtois, and Andriy Lunin defied expectations by hitting the training ground at Valdebebas on Monday, even though their official return was scheduled for Tuesday. The trio’s early arrival is particularly noteworthy given the FIFA break, during which players not involved in international duty typically enjoy a period of rest.
Courtois, in particular, appears to be prioritizing a swift recovery from a groin injury sustained in the Madrid Derby against Atletico. The Belgian goalkeeper has been in excellent form this season and is keen to maintain his momentum. While the coaching staff may opt for a cautious approach, given the upcoming fixtures against Dortmund and Barcelona, Courtois’ presence could be crucial.
Mbappe, too, is working on his fitness and form. The French forward’s recent injury against Atletico disrupted his impressive run, and he is clearly eager to regain his momentum.
The early training sessions suggest a strong commitment from these players to the team’s success and a desire to hit the ground running when league action resumes.
